LONDON, W.I.

8. November, 1950

I am directed to refer to your letter 54423/50 dated 10 26th September, 1950, and to express regret for the delay in

replying.

This delay arose from the fact that certain discussions were taking place and it was hoped that a decision on the matter would be taken at any moment.

However, another point has now arisen which may cause a further slight delay, but the decision of the Army Council will be made known to you at the earliest possible date.

I am, Sir,

Your obedient Servant,

L.G. Coluntain

Brigadier,

for President, Claims Commission.

The Under Secretary of State,

Colonial Office,

Church House,

Great Smith Street,

LONDON, S.W.1.
